The organ contains older material: Prospect from 1727 by Adam Ernst Reichard
In 1727, Adam Ernst Reichard built a new organ for the Laurentiuskirche in Altdorf bei Nürnberg. From this organ only the prospect has been preserved, when Johann Strebel built a new organ in 1895. This instrument had 24 stops. It was rebuilt and enlarged to thirty stops in 1958 by Steinmeyer.
