The Rieger Organ in the church of Saint Joseph's Abbey was first used as a temporary organ in the Basilica di San Marco in Venice, Italy, during recordings by the King's College Choir Cambridge with Edgar Power Biggs on the organ. After these recordings were finished, the instrument was purchased for the Abbey Church of Spencer, Massachusetts, where it was installed in 1969. It is an organ of the model 'Salzburg'.
