- In 1893-1894, Georg Mayer built a new organ for the Mariä Himmelfahrtkirche in Domat/Ems. This instrument was replaced in 1926 by the current organ, that was constructed by Jakob Metzler. However, seventeen of the stops were taken over from the Mayer organ. The new organ was dedicated on December 8, 1926. Jakob Metzler died before the organ was dedicated.
- The organ has been restored in 2015 by the company Orgelbau Kuhn. It could be inaugurated again on November 29, 2015.
