1894 Wordsworth & Co.  new organ
2011 Peter Jewkes  restoration

  • In 1894, a pipe organ was installed in Saint Mark's Anglican Church in Picton, built by the Wordsworth company of Leeds, UK. It remained in the church without any modifications. In 2010-2011 a restoration was carried out by Peter Jewkes.
  • In June 2016 a flood overwhelmed the church and the water stood two meters high inside the building. The organ was severely damaged. It was dismantled an put in storage. A restoration turned out to be too expensive, and in 2017 it was decided to look out for another organ. The instrument has remained in storage, probably for a future restoration.
