The parish church of José was built in 1908-1909. It replaced an older church building. It is said that the pipe organ was transfered from the old to the new church, but that the instrument originally came from the parish of Battice. It was built around 1850 by Dieudonné-Joseph Comblain. Maybe in 1909 the stop list was modified: Cornet and Mixture were replaced by Violon 8' and Voix Céleste 8'. In 1982, a restoration was carried out by Verschueren. They installed a new Cornet and Mixture, and replaced the bass of the Montre 8' by a Dolce 4'. The Trompette was overhauled by them, they replaced the zinc resonators of the trumpet with tin.
