Municipal: Dresden
Address: Georgplatz, Dresden

Description nr.: 2064585.

Built by: Johann Christian Kayser (1780)
Demolished (ca. 1900)

  • The Waisenhauskirche in Dresden was dedicated on October 15, 1780. It was the second church on this location: the first one from 1713 was destroyed during a war in 1760. A pipe organ with eleven stops on one manual and an independent pedal was built by Johann Christian Kayser in 1778-1780.
  • In the years 1890-1900 the church was demolished. It seems that the organ was also demolished, there is no trace of the instrument being sold to another church.
