1735 Pietro Nacchini  new organ
1805 Gaetano Callido  enlargement
1928 Annibale Pugina  new organ in old case
1973 Francesco Michelotto  new organ in old case

  • In 1735, Pietro Nacchini built two new organs for the Basilica di Santa Giustina in Padova. The organ cases were identical, and installed to the left and the right side of the choir. The left organ had two manuals, the right organ one. In 1805 the instrument on the left was completed by Gaetano Callido.
  • Both organs were replaced in the years 1926-1928 by a new large organ, built by Annibale Pugina. He used both cases for this instrument, with a central console. The three-manual organ had 50 stops, and was enlarged in 1931 with a choir organ with eight stops, that could also be played from its own console.
  • The current instrument was built in 1973 by Franceso Michelotto. He used the historical cases, and a lot of ranks from Pugina. Because of the size of the new instrument, a part of the pipework was installed in a new organ case behind the altar.
