The Kapuzinerkloster in Innsbruck was opened in 1606. However, the complex was closed in 1787 by Emperor Josef II. But in 1792 the monastery was rededicated again. In the years 1940 to 1945 the buildings were requisitioned as a military warehouse. After the Second World War the church was restored and put back into use. A last restoration of the church was carried out in 1992-1994.
