The main organ of the cathedral of Lugano was build in 1910 by the company Mascioni as opus 292 of the firm. The inauguration concert was played by Marco Enrico Bossi. In 1945 the organ was restored by Kuhn Orgelbau. Luigi Picchi was consultant during the work. On November 28, 1945, the instrument was re-dedicated.
