In 1963 the company Casavant built a new organ for the First Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. The organ was installed in two chambers, without a real prospect, but with iron bars hiding the instrument. The instrument was completely rebuilt by B. Rule & Co. in 2018-2019. They constructed two new organ cases in classical style, fitting in the sanctuary. They are located on both sides of the chancel. All the pipes were revoiced, to modify the sharp neo-baroque sound into a more romantic sound. A number of ranks were replaced and some new ranks were added to the organ. Rule also installed a new console with a modern digital combination system and MIDI-connections.
