In 1939 a new organ was dedicated, built by Gerard D'Hondt. It was dedicated on February 19, 1939, with a recital by Arthur Verhoeven, organist in Schooten. This instrument was demolished in 1956. A part of the pipes was reused in the construction of the current organ.
