Alois Thunus built a new organ for the Sankt Luziakirche in Born in 1960-1961. The church once had an instrument of Emile Kerkhoff, dating from 1925, with eighteen stops, that was seriously damaged by a fire in December of the same year and was removed in 1931. The new organ was built under consultancy of Jean Van de Caurter, who also played the inauguration concert on December 17, 1961.
