Built by: Casavant Frères (1961) - opus 2649
Dismantled (1997)

  • The firm Casavant built a new organ in neo-baroque styl for the First Congregational Church in Battle Creek, that was dedicated in 1961. The organ had three manuals and 49 stops. Some reeds and the harp were taken over from the former organ of the church.
  • The organ has been dismantled in 1997, and parts of the pipework were re-used in the new organ, built by Martin Ott. The main reason to replace the instrument was because of its thin sound, typical for organs from the building period.
