  • In 1965 the Wicks Organ Company built a large four manual organ for the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Rochester, New York. The organ was installed on the gallery, where the cases were designed to surround the beautiful stained glass window on the west side of the nave. The instrument was inaugurated in January 1966 with a concert by Virgil Fox.
  • The organ was rebuilt by the firm Kerner & Merchant in 1991.
  • In 2008 a completely new organ was installed in the church, built by Paul Fritts. The old Wicks organ was sold around 2004 to the Roman Catholic Church of Saint Mary, Help of the Christians in New Castle, Pennsylvania, where it could be dedicated in 2005.
