In 1887 an organ was installed in Saint Peter's Church in Cockfield. The instrument was built by Bevington & Sons in 1863. The original location of the instrument is unknown. In 1964 Peter Jackaman restored the organ and moved it inside the church. In 2007 a new restoration by Michael Osborne was completed. The organ is since installed on the gallery at the rear of the nave. Osborne removed the combination pedals and replaced the chests of Great and Swell by other Bevington-chests, coming from the demolished organ of the Old Hall in East Bergholt from 1870.
