The organ in Fort Street Presbyterian Church, Detroit, was built in 1915 by the firm Wangerin-Weickhardt Co. They used some pipe work from the first organ of the church, built in 1876 as opus 155 by the brothers Odell. This organ was located on a gallery at the rear of the nave. It survived a fire that destroyed large parts of the church building in 1914. The new organ stands on the chancel. The Möller Organ Company installed a new console in 1953. In 1955 major renovations were carried out by Charles W. McManis. The organ was revoiced, and some stops were replaced or renewed.
