In 2018, the company Vleugels built a new choir organ for the Mariä Himmelfahrtkirche in Deggendorf. The instrument is placed on the church floor in a niche of the choir. On May 30, 2019, the choir organ and the new main organ were both dedicated. The choir organ was played by Elke Szczesny.
