- Saint George's Anglican Church in Thames is in 1872 gebouwd. Het gebouw is opgetrokken in hout naar ontwerp van Edward Mahoney. Theophilus Peter Norris Hewlett bouwde het orgel voor de kerk in 1877. Hij was predikant en docent, afkomstig uit Oxford in Engeland. HIj werkte als amateur orgelmaker en zijn enige grotere werk is het orgel in Saint George's. Het werd in gebruik genomen op 30 augustus 1877.
- In 1958 is het orgel gerenoveerd door de firma Croft & Son. Daarbij is de tractuur geëlectrificeerd.
