De University of Auckland beschikt over een kapel uit 1964, gebouwd dankzij een schenking van William Goodfellow. De kapel is gebouwd als herinnering aan zijn zoon Richard Maclaurin Goodfellow, die in 1944 sneuvelde. De kapel wordt darom Maclaurin-kapel genoemd. De kapel is ontworpen door het architectenbureau Gummer Ford & Partners. In 1987 werd een nieuw orgel voor de kapel gebouwd door de firma Croft & Son. Anthony Jennings was adviseur bij de bouw. Er werd gekozen voor den ontwerp in de stijl van klassieke Nederlandse orgels. Het orgel is in middentoon-temperatuur gestemd.
