Built by: Gebrüder Müller (1862)

  • The Heidberg Monastery in Eupen dates from the end of the seventeenth century. The monastery church, Herz-Jesu-Kirche, was built in 1854 in neo-Gothic style. The Gebr. Müller built an organ in 1862. It is set up in two seperated cases on either side of the west window. The organ had eighteen stops, including three transmissions. In 1885 it was moved to another gallery within the church. In the course of time the Trompete 8' was replaced by a Gamba (bass) and the Octav 8' of the pedal is no longer present.
  • A large school belonged to the monastery. The monastery complex was sold in 2007-2008 and then it was converted into a conference center. A fire broke out in 2010 due to a lightning strike. After this, the organ was dismantled and stored.
