Saint Mary Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church in Duluth is gebouwd in 1883 voor Poolse arbeiders in de haven. De kerk werd later uitgebreid met een toren. In 1905 brandde de kerk tot de grond toe af. Er werd direct een nieuwe kerk gebouwd, die in 1906 is gewijd. De firma Lyon & Healy bouwde een orgel voor deze kerk, dat begin 1907 is gewijd. Sinds februari 1907 is de kerk in gebruik als 'normale' parochiekerk, en niet meer voor de Poolse gemeenschap. Het orgel is zonder wijzigingen bewaard gebleven.
