- The Gereformeerde Kerk (Reformed Church) on the Poststraat in Scheemda was built in 1958 and was designed by the architects E. & L.H. Reitsma. Mense Ruiter built a new organ for this church in 1980/1981. It is inspired by the work of Arp Schnitger. Construction consultants were Herman Smedema and Tjibbe Heidinga. The organ was inaugurated in July 1981. The Dulciaan was installed in 1982. Due to the merging with the Hervormde Gemeente into the PKN, the former Gereformeerde Kerk was closed after a last service on May 30, 2010, after the construction of an entirely new church building on the site of the former Eexterkerk.
- There were plans to relocated the organ to the village church of Bourtange, but these plans were canceled. Dominique Thomas performed an overhaul and placed the instrument in the Église Saint-Léger in Gosnay in France in 2014. The temperament was changed from Werckmeister III to Kellner. The organ was dedicated at the new location on July 6, 2014. It was played on this occasion by Michel Alabau.
