The Metropolitan United Methodist Church on Woodward Avenue in Detroit was built in the years 1916-1926. The old church, named North Woodward Church, was not far from here. This church was built in 1906, but burned down completely in 1916. The new church was officially inaugurated on January 22, 1926. As early as 1923, the Estey company supplied a small organ for the new church. The pipework was placed in two organ chambers, with no visible prospect. The console was placed in the church. The organ was installed on site by the Lyon & Healy company. The organ is located in Kregse Hall.
