Het orgel in Saint Nicholas' Church in Strood werd oorspronkelijk in 1862 gebouwd door Henry Wedlake. Delen van het orgel gaan terug op het instrument dat Wedlake in 1851 bouwde voor de Great Exhibition in Londen. Het orgel is in 1920 verbouwd door W.L. Tovey. De huidige opbouw ontstond na een ombouw door de firma Walker & Sons in 1953. Daarbij is een vrijstaande speeltafel geplaatst tegenover het orgel. In 1983 is de kerkzaal verkleind. In 1984 voerde de firma Woodbrown een revisie uit, waarbij ook de intonatie is aangepast aan de kleinere ruimte.
