- The organ in the Église Saint-Barthélémy in Mouscron was built in 1766 for a church in Dunkerque, and was placed in Mouscron in 1820 by Pierre Hildebrand. It was given a place in the gallery on the west side of the church. A previous organ of this church, constructed in 1752 by Pierre-Joseph Derijckere, was destroyed in 1794.
- In 1892 the disposition was changed: two old registers were replaced by a Salicional 8' and a Dulciane 8'. Théophile Delmotte revised the instrument in 1904 and Jules Anneessens in 1950. A restoration followed in 1981 by Bertrand Couvreur and Pierre de Courcelle. The orignal specification has been reconstructed. But the organ was slighty altered according to the original plan and moved to the church floor in the choir.
- The company Artisans Facteurs de Tournai carried out a restoration in 1990-1997. The organ has been restored to its original state. It was moved from the gallery to the choir of the church. The inauguration took place on September 28, 1997 with a concert by Joris Verdin.
- In 2015 there was a final restoration by Pierre de Courcelle.
