William Johnson built a two-manual organ for the Fayette Methodist Episcopal Church in Baltimore in 1891. The church building was later sold to the Carter Memorial Church of God in Christ. Because this denomination did not use the organ, it fell into disrepair. In 2013 the municipality bought the former Saint Peter's Church. The organ present here was allowed to be removed. The old church was subsequently sold. The building was demolished in 2018. The organ was dismantled and stored by David Storey.
