  • The main organ of the Peter und Paulkirche in Stans was built in 1710 by Matthäus Abbrederis. The outer towers of the organ have been taken over in a narrowed form from the previous organ of the church, which was built between 1684 and 1690. Unfortunately, the organ of Abbrederis has not been preserved. After modifications in 1808 by Heinrich Braun and in 1824 by Leodogar Kuster, it was modernized in 1880 by Friedrich Goll. In 1923 the old organ was replaced by a completely new pneumatic instrument from the company Goll. The case of the Rückpositiv was removed and the main case with the original prospect pipes (though no longer connected) was taken over from the existing instrument.
  • The current organ was built in 1987 by the Mathis firm. They reconstructed the Rückpositiv. The front pipes have been made speaking again. The organ was overhauled by Metzler in 2008. In 2014 they installed an electronic Sezter installation.
