De kerk van Saint Matthew in Douglas is in 1902 gebouwd. Edward Wadsworth plaatste in 1922 een orgel in deze kerk. Dit instrument is in 1979 herbouwd door de firma Wood uit Huddersfield. Wood plaatste een nieuwe vrijstaande speeltafel en legde de tracturen aan in electropneumatiek. In de jaren negentig is het orgel uitgebreid door Peter Jones met een Trombone op het pedaal (1996) en verschillende nieuwe transmissies (1999).
