Koolskamp, België (West-Vlaanderen) - Sint Martinuskerk
Municipal: Ardooie
Region:Vlaanderen
Address: Dorpsplein 27, 8850, Koolskamp
Description nr.: 2054493.
Built by: Joseph Loncke & Zn. (1951)
The Sint Martinuskerk in Koolskamp was heavily damaged in 1918 when the tower was terminated. As a result, the old organ has been lost, or at least has been left behind in unplayable condition on the rood screen. A new organ was eventually installed in 1951 by the Loncke company. This organ is placed on a gallery on the west side of the church. The console is placed in an old bench in the choir. The organ has 23 stops, but there are 13 'real' ranks, from which the stop list has been derived. There is no swell box installed. The organ was dedicated on August 26, 1951. Albert Vanhaute played the inaugural concert.
