- Het orgel in de Heilig Hartkerk is in 1886 in de kerk geplaatst. Het werd gekocht van de Jesuïeten aan de Recolettenstraat in Leuven, en is rond 1839 gebouwd door Hippolyte Loret. Het orgel is overgeplaatst door J. De Prez. Het is in 1899 geplaatst op een neuw doksaal.
- In 1925 voerde de firma Gebr. Reygaert een restauratie uit. Daarbij is het orgel ingrijpend verbouwd: nieuwe klavieren, nieuwe blaasbalg en verschillende nieuwe registers. In 1944 is het orgel meer naar achteren geplaatst om ruimte te creëren voor het zangkoor.
- In 1992-1994 is het instrument gerestaureerd door de firma Manifacture d'Orgues de Malmédy (Aloïs Thunus). Op 21 december 1994 is het weer in gebruik genomen.
