- The organ in the parish church of Overmere was built in 1889-1890 by the company Gebr. Vereecken. The organ case and the gallery were manufactured by the sculptor Lippens from Gentbrugge. The organ case is designed in neo-Gothic style. The organ was dedicated on 5 February 1890. The new organ was played on this occasion by Z.E.H. Canon P.J. Van Damme and Messrs E. de Ca(e)rnewal and E. Goedertier.
- The organ has never been altered. The company Stevens carried out a reivision in 1967.
- In the years 1993-1996 the organ was restored by the company Les Artisans Facteurs d'Orgues et Clavecins de Tournai. On September 7, 1996 the instrument was put back into use with a concert by Lieve Van de Rosyne.
