In the Musée de la Renaissance in Ecouen is an old organ, that dates from around 1550. It was constructed as a portable organ, most likely in Tirol. It seems that the windchests were replaced or restored in 1685. The base of the organ was added in 1762. In 1964 the organ was rebuilt by Jean-François Muno. Most of the pipes and mechanics were removed or altered. From 1994 to 1999 the firm of Blumenroeder restored the instrument.
