- In 1920, Alfred Schmeisser built a large three-manual organ for the Sankt Kunigundenkirche in his hometown Rochlitz. It was built with good materials and high quality pipework. The organ was dedicated on October 31, 1920. In 1935 the stop list was modified: Gemshornquinte and Mixtur of the third manual were replaced by a Fernflöte 4' and a Rauschpfeife 3 fach. On the pedal the Dulciana 8' was replaced by an Italienischer Prinzipal 2'. In 1959, the Gedackt 16' of the second manual was replaced by a Scharff 3 fach.
- In 2011, Mattias Noack made a plan for the restoration of the instrument, that was carried out by Christian Bochmann in 2012-2013. The organ could be inaugurated on September 1st, 2013. The Gedackt 16' and Mixtur were reconstrucred.
