Church and organ in Kagel were dedicated on September 11, 1871. The organ was built by August Ferdinand Dinse. It was overhauled around 1920 by the Gebrüder Teschner. After the Second World War, the church building fell into disrepair. It has been restored step by step since 1990. In 2015 the organ was restored by Jörg Dutschke. The instrument could be inaugurated again on 5 September 2015.
