Het orgel in de kerk van Groß Schönebeck is gebouwd in 1749 door Johann Michael Röder. Het instrument werd in 1750 voltooid door Johann Gottblieb Scholtze. Gottlieb Heise repareerde het instrument in 1824 en opnieuw in 1843. In 1878 is het verbouwd door Albert Hollenbach, waarbij de huidige dispositie is ontstaan. In 1991 voerde Beate von Rohden een restauratie uit. Een laatste restauratie was in 2009, uitgevoerd door de firma Alexander Schuke.
