- De kerk van Saint Catherine in Meath Street is in 1852-1858 gebouwd. De kerk werd gewijd op 30 juni 1858.
- In januari 2012 werd brand gesticht in de kerk, waardoor het interieur zwaar beschadigd raakte. Het orgel ging geheel verloren. Het interieur en het orgel zijn hierna gereconstrueerd in oude stijl.
