2016 Wakeley Pipe Organs  transfer/relocate

  • In 1927 Casavant built a three-manual organ for the Église Saint-Jean-de-la-Croix in Montreal, Canada. The instrument has five divisions, but the Solo Division has no manual of its own.
  • After closure of the church in Montréal in 2001, the organ was sold in 2005 and transferred by the firm Wakeley Pipe Organs to the Roman Catholic cathedral of Saint Francis Xavier in Adelaide. The Walker organ of this church had been removed in 1994. The dedication took place on November 13, 2016. The official inauguration concert was on November 15th, played by Joshua van Kolkelenberg.
