The Joseph Merklin company built an organ for the Sint Michielskerk in Waarloos in the nineteenth century, which was lost due to war violence during the First World War. After the restoration of the church building, a new organ was dedicated in 1930, constructed by the company Jos Stevens. The organ was inaugurated on December 7, 1930, after which Flor Peeters gave a concert.
