The previous parish church of Saint John Baptist in Wildert was dedicated in 1886. A second hand organ was installed, that was replaced by a new instrument by Jos. Stevens in 1928. In 1944 this church was destroyed during the war. A new church was consecrated in 1950. It took some time before a new pipe organ could be acquired. On November 7, 1965, a new instrument was dedicated. It has been built by the company Jos. Stevens. J. Schrooten played the inauguration concert.
