The organ of First Churches of Northampton in Northampton, Massachusetts. was built as opus 507 in 1936 by Ernest M. Skinner & Son. A number of ranks was taken over from the previous organ of the church, built by Johnson & Son in 1889 as opus 718. This organ was built after the church had been reconstructed, because it was damaged by a fire in 1888. The organ before the fire was also by Johnson & Son, opus 508 from 1878. Some ranks from this organ were re-used again, so they can be present in the current instrument. The chimes are Kohler-Liebich Liberty Chimes, originally 20 tubes, but later expanded to 25.
