The Manufacture Merklin-Schütze built a new organ for the chapel of the Couvent des Soeurs Augustines in Vitré in 1856. The instrument has a case in neogothic style. The pedal organ has no stops of its own, but can be coupled to both manuals. In 1976 the organ was sold and relocated to the church of Plélan-le-Grand, after a restoration by Yves Sévère. In 2012 Alfred Poeschl carried out maintenance.
