- Louis Le Bé built an organ in 1688 for the palace of the Dukes of Champagne in Troyes. In 1698 it was transferred by him to the Église Notre-Dame de la Nativité in Joinville. The beautiful organ gallery in this church dates from the fifteenth century. When installed, the organ had fifteen stops, divided over two manuals and a pedal.
- In 1747 the organ was expanded by Jacques Cochu. This was followed by revisions by Jean Richard in 1764 and by Jean-Baptiste Salmon in 1802. In 1837 the organ was restored by Jean-Baptiste Gavot. This builder installed a new windchest for the Grand Orgue. Ten years later, in 1847, Nicolas-Antoine Lété expanded the organ with a Positif.
- Louis Georgel carried out a restoration in 1952. The mechanisms were partly renewed. A last major restoration took place in 1980 by Yves Koenig. The organ case and gallery were restored in 1984 by Marcel Maimponte.
