• The Église Saint-Jacques in Abbeville was built in the period 1870-1876 in a Gothic Revival style to the design of Victor Delefortrie. The company Mutin-Cavaillé-Coll installed a new organ in 1906. In 1940, the stop action was made pneumatic.
  
• The Beuchet-Débierre company restored and rebuilt the organ in 1966. At this time it the instrument was modified dramatically.
  
• The church building fell into disrepair after 2000. The church was no longer used for church services. Because restoration would be costly and the danger of collapse increased, the Abbeville Congregation decided to demolish the church. This was done in the spring of 2013. The organ was disassembled by the company Thomas and stored. In 2018 plans were made to install the organ after a severe restoration in the Église Collégiale Saint-Vulfran.
