  • Nicolas Henry, together with his son Jean-Baptiste, built a new organ for the Église Saint-Martial in Angoulême in 1853. During construction they partly used pipes from the previous organ of the church, built by Pierre Leymarie and Jean-Baptiste Trouillet.
  • In 1891 the organ was rebuilt by Louis Debièrre. An extension followed in 1921 by Georges Gloton and Charles Le Mintier. Joseph Beuchet expanded the organ again in 1949, also electrifying the action. In 1979 the organ was restored by Alain Thomas.
