- The church building dates from the thirteenth century. During a conversion of the interior in baroque style in the years from 1738, a new organ was also built with a baroque organ case. An organ was already present before that time. The organ has been rebuilt and modified over time, including major rebuilts by Johann Baptist Schefold and Ferdinand Benz. The organ at this time had twenty stops. In 1924 the company Gebr. Späth installed a new organ in the old case, opus 306 of the firm. This instrument had 26 registers, including three transmissions. This organ was demolished in 1975, including the historic organ case.
- The given specification was recorded in 1860 by mr. Reinhardt, organ consultant from Gmünd.
