- The Dreifaltigkeitskirche in Ludwigshafen was built in the years 1899-1901 in neo-Romanesque style after a design by Wilhelm Schulte. The building was very badly damaged in 1945 as a result of bombing. The church was restored in a more simple form in the years 1952-1953. In 1962 Wolfgang Scherpf installed the Walcker organ from 1955, which was built as a choir organ for the cathedral in Speyer. Under the direction of cathedral organist Ludwig Doerr, the Walcker company built this organ for the choir of the Kaiserdom in Speyer. The instrument was dedicated on December 11, 1955, after which Ludwig Doerr played the first organ concert.
- The Sesquialtera of the Schwellwerk is missing in Bernhard H. Bonkhoff's 2001 specification. Furthermore, some stops are different (Baßflöte 2' instead of Bauernpfeife 2', and Salicional 8' instead of Weidenpfeife 8').
