Built by: Johnson & Son (1890) - opus 736
In 1890, the Johnson & Son firm built a new organ for the First Unitarian Church of Deerfield, Massachusetts. It has been extensively renovated over time. In 2001 it was restored by Patrick J. Murphy and transferred to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Illinois. This meetinghouse was inaugurated on August 27, 2000. The pedal has been expanded with two ranks, a Principal 8' and a Trombone 16'. Consultant was Philip Gehring, who also played the organ dedicationary concert in Bloomington in September 2001.
