1976 Josef Hilmar Jørgensen  new organ
2002 Henrik Brinck Hansen  restoration

  • The cathedral was dedicated in 1856. In that year an organ was placed by the organ maker Brantzæg. In 1899 this instrument was replaced by an organ of the company Olsen-Jørgensen with thirteen stops. This instrument was dismantled in 1970 and sold except for the facade to Nordfold Kirke, where it still stands.
  • The firm J.H. Jørgensen completed a new organ in 1976 for the Roman Catholic cathedral of Sankt Olav in Oslo. The instrument was overhauled in 2002 by Henrik Brinck Hansen, with the voicing completely revised. However, there are plans to build an entirely new organ.
