- The organ in the Slottskyrkan in Stockholm was originally built in 1754 by Jonas Gren and Peter Stråhle. It was an organ with seventeen stops. The front was designed by Carl Hårleman. A special feature is the painting behind the organ, made by Johan Pasch, which gives the impression that the organ is set up in front of a dome.
- In 1870 the old interior was replaced by a new organ by Åkerman & Lund, which was rebuilt in 1917 by the same company. In 1989 the instrument was in a bad condition. It was decided to have the original instrument reconstructed on the basis of old archive documents. Existing organs of the builders were also used as examples. The assignment was carried out by Mats Arvidssson. Together with the completely restored church building, the organ was put into use on the first Sunday of Advent, November 28, 1999.
