In 1862 Friedrich Hermann Lütkemüller built a new organ for the church of Volkshagen. The instrument was converted to pneumatic action by Carl Börger in 1930, and the disposition was also altered. In the years 2004/2005 Andreas Arnold carried out a reconstruction. The organ has been restored to its original state. It was given a different place in the church. The Winterkirche was built on the site of the old organ loft. The organ now stands in the former Grand Ducal Lodge. On January 6, 2006 the organ was put back into use.
